basic types of
technical support services to provide program updates as well as
telephone assistance when we’re not immediately available.
Specialized Business Solutions: Superior Technical Support Services
One unique aspect of SBS (as software companies go) is that when you call during business
hours, an actual person answers the phone and can usually assist you immediately. Their sales
and technical support staff are one and the same, and are not paid by commission — which
means they won’t make inflated promises just to make a sale or expedite a call. If it’s ever
necessary to leave SBS a message, you can expect the call back within minutes, not hours.

In addition to publishing quality software, SBS’s entire staff takes pride in offering prompt and

Software Maintenance Service Plans
The best value, and free to all new Keystroke users for the first 90 days after installation.
Thereafter, users may subscribe to the plan. This service includes:
  • Telephone assistance via toll-free number (800 ASK-4SBS or 800 275-4727)
  • Program updates — both major releases and minor enhancements

Program updates are available only through this service and are not sold separately. Priority
technical assistance via telephone is available from 10 am - 8 pm EST Mon-Fri (except
holidays). Users who maintain uninterrupted Software Maintenance Service by renewing before
the expiration date each year are awarded a discount off the normal list price. Most users realize
the value and purchase these services year after year.

Extended Support Options
Pay-Per-Call Support (800 ASK-4SBS or 800 275-4727)  is available to all customers during
the hours of 10 am - 8 pm EST Mon-Fri (except holidays). This service is intended for
customers who do not currently subscribe to a Software Maintenance Service plan, and for
those with prepaid support plans who require extra training services or technical support.
Typical pay-per-call support cases may include:
  • Additional support cases exceeding the allotment of a prepaid plan
  • Technical support for non-Keystroke issues
  • Training by telephone

Remote Access Support (800 ASK-4SBS or 800 275-4727) is available to customers on Silver
or Gold Support plans. This service offers the convenience of an experienced support
technician connecting to the customer’s system using Microsoft Remote Desktop or a similar
technology to troubleshoot, perform system maintenance or provide training. Due to various
limitations such as system requirements, this service may not be available to all customers or at
all times. Availability of this service is also subject to change.

Getting the Fastest Answers & Best Assistance
The best references come from loyal customers. To show appreciation for your support, SBS
will give you free Software Maintenance Service — including program updates — just for doing
one of the following:

  • Recommend Keystroke to another business. Provide SBS with the business name, contact,
    address, telephone number and any other pertinent information. SBS will send them an
    information package including a free evaluation system on CD and pass the referral along to
    a local authorized Keystroke Dealer. When that business purchases Keystroke,  SBS will add
    3 months to your current (non-expired) Software Maintenance Service Plan.
